Warranty Policy

Products sold by American Condenser & Coil (hereafter referred to as “AC&C”) are covered by a limited one-year warranty to the original purchaser. Should any failure occur due to a defect in workmanship or materials during this period of time, American Condenser will repair or replace the product. Cost of labor related to the installation, removal, or other incidental damage is not
covered by AC&C. All products submitted for warranty must be accompanied by an invoice number, copy of invoice, PO number for the original purchase of the part/s, or original receipt and an AC&C issued return merchandise authorization (RMA) number. Any part returned without this documentation is subject to delay in processing and possibly an additional administrative charge, or outright refusal for consideration of credit.

All returns not covered by warranty (but are still in new, re-sellable condition) are covered by the normal return policy and are subject to 10% restocking/re-boxing fee, AC&C will not be liable for the return freight/parcel charges on non-warranty returns.

The normal return policy covers all products sold by AC&C, with certain exceptions including: damaged in shipping, recalls by AC&C, and “manufactured incorrectly” and premature product failure (warrantable as determined/verified by AC&C).

“Damaged in shipping” claims will need to be accompanied by a copy of the original bill of lading from the freight carrier along with notations made (regarding the damage) in said bill of lading at the time of acceptance and signed off on by the driver, along with invoice number, copy of invoice or PO# for the original purchase of the part/s.

In the rare event that a recall is requested by American Condenser, full credit will be issued and return freight will be paid by AC&C.

“Manufactured incorrectly” and “premature product failure” claims include products not made to reasonable performance / fitment specifications or failure within the warranty period. In order to the validity of these claims, the following steps must be followed:

Customers must submit a written claim to American Condenser’s return department via email and/or on a mutually acceptable form/format, and be issued an RMA.

1. American Condenser & Coil must approve all returns via a RMA.

Any merchandise returned without a RMA will not be accepted for credit. This warranty will be void if AC&C determines improper use or installation, removal of any stamp or manufacture identification or if unit is determined to have been sold to customer with pre-arranged warranty allowances that would act in place of this general policy.

2. All claims must include:

a. Specific details and description of the claim. For example: “excess braze in block fitting, unable to connect, customer was unable to install, leak in center core section.” “Made wrong” or “Built Wrong”, will not be sufficient descriptions to qualify for these exceptions.
b. Pictures, illustrating the area, fitting, core or other specific problem issue.
c. Invoice number, copy of invoice or PO number for the original purchase of the part/s.

3. Once above information is received, along with the subject unit, American Condenser, at its discretion, will issue full credit, partial credit, or no credit, based on the information provided and a physical inspection of said unit/s.

a. If upon inspection, product is determined not within specifications, a full credit will be issued, with no deduction for return freight (AC&C pays freight).
b. If upon inspection, product is determined to be built to proper specifications, a credit will be issued minus a 10% re-stocking fee and a deduction for the cost of the return freight (treated as a new return). Alternatively, the subject unit may be returned at the customer’s expense or discarded as directed.
c. Unit is not identifiable as an AC&C product or is outside the warranty term. In theses cases the subject unit may be returned at the customer’s expense or discarded as directed and no credit will be issued.

Every effort will be made to assure this process produces a fair outcome for all parties.
These exceptions do not include credit provisions for: ordered wrong part, lost sale, or new part returns. Removal of any stamp or manufacture identification renders the warranty null and void. All returns not covered by the above exceptions are subject to 10% restocking/re-boxing fee and AC&C will not assume return freight charges. The policy for new returns applies to products that are still “banded”, new and uninstalled. Any return not in new, re-sellable condition and not covered by warranty will not receive credit.
